Titan Skin Tightening

Tightening skin without surgery is now reality with infrared light technology. Titan from Cutera gently heats collagen in the deep dermis layer of the skin, effectively contracting collagen fibres and stimulating new collagen formation. The result is firmer, younger looking skin and improved contours.

During the procedure a layer of gel is applied to the skin and protective eyewear is worn. The titan device is applied to the skin and beams of infrared light pass into the deeper layers of skin. Each beam lasts about 6 seconds and this is felt as a surge of heat that comes and goes. The infrared light at a wavelength of 1100-1800nm safely and effectively heats collagen and fibroblast cells. The result is twofold: an immediate collagen contraction which provides some immediate skin tightening, and the stimulation of new collagen formation that continues to tighten skin and improve results for up to 6 months following the procedure. Three titan treatments at monthly intervals are usually performed for best results.
